Meet Carly Webber, Director of Social Media
As Director of Social Media at Volume Nine, Carly Webber immerses herself in all the latest social internet trends, tools, and tips. Carly started her social media work while she was in college at Colorado State University, managing the school newspaper’s social sites and writing for an online magazine. Once she graduated, she started working at an agency as a Social Media intern, and has excelled in the field ever since.
Carly particularly enjoys working with travel and leisure companies, local restaurants, and large eCommcerce brands. Seeing brand enthusiasm and conversions from social media is just a day in the life.
When Carly is not in the office, you can usually find her at a concert, at a Denver sporting event (Go Broncos!) or in the kitchen experimenting with a new recipe. When Carly has time off, she likes to travel and see as much as she can around the world.
Where were you born?
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the world around you, because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”
Most embarrassing story?
I was in the Lourve in Paris and there was a huge group of people taking a tour walking in front of me, very slowly, and I was getting aggravated because they were going so slow, so I went to cut in front of them (in kind of an American-snotty way) – I walked right into a low guard rail (used to keep people away from paintings) and fell flat on my face and cut open my leg. In front of a ton of people. And then had sit down on the floor and wait for a person to bring me a band-aid.
If you had a super power, what would it be & why?
Ability to teleport – so I could see everything I want to see around the world without the whole flying coach and spending money thing.
