About Monica

As a Director at Volume Nine, Monica Valdez is involved in highly-specialized troubleshooting, strategic planning, and advanced digital marketing projects for clients. She brings her fascination of digital marketing to her work, and loves leveraging several professional disciplines. With extensive experience in PPC, SEO, content management, analytics, and conversion rate optimization, Monica is highly qualified and a wonderful addition to the Volume Nine team.

She is a co-organizer of both the Denver and Boulder SEO Meetup groups and has previously served on the board of directors for the Colorado chapter of the Business Marketing Association. She is also an adviser and mentor to students at CU’s Leeds Business School. Over the years, Monica has participated in and served a variety of professional and educational organizations, both through leadership and volunteer work. We were humbled to have Monica join our team, and we admire her commitment to professional development and community involvement. 

Monica is a Denver native, and lives with her partner David, their son Blake, dogs Angus and Loki, and Ginger the cat. She loves to learn and help others grow, and loves travel, cooking, art, music, and  judging competitive BBQ (yes, really!). Monica is also a dedicated volunteer, and has worked with organizations like Victim Outreach Inc., Junior Achievement, and Golden Retriever Freedom Rescue.

Random Facts

What hobbies or interests do you have?
Food! Eating, judging BBQ, and cooking (but not baking because it requires a higher level of precision than I’m willing to commit to).

**Fun fact: Monica is a Master Certified BBQ Judge and Lifetime Member of the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS).

What’s the best vacation you have ever taken?
A 21-day road trip through Scotland in 2016 was definitely one of the best.

Do you play any instruments? 
I have taken years of lessons to learn how to play several instruments including guitar, piano, mandolin, and fiddle. Not an expert in any of them but I do love to play and sing at home to entertain myself.
