Megan, a Digital Marketing Strategist at Volume Nine, works to create & deliver programs that support growth for our clients. After studying marketing and international business at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver (yes, an ‘eh’ or two still slip out during conversations when you speak to her), Megan became a digital nomad (although she hates that term) who worked remotely in Colombia, Argentina, and Mexico as a content marketing consultant for companies in the e-commerce and health sectors.
But before all that, she got her unofficial start in content marketing at the age of 7, when she applied to direct her own Meow Mix commercial. She lost, and her cat Whiskers never forgave her, but it fueled her passion for marketing through storytelling. Megan loves how digital marketing blends creativity and analytics, as well as the drive to constantly learn new things and shift perspectives excel in the changing field. In her work at V9, she loves that no two days look the same – she’s always learning something new and unexpected, either from our awesome clients or from her equally awesome coworkers.
Megan is also low-key obsessed with cats, art featuring skulls (but not art featuring cat skulls), houseplants, green velvet couches, bottles of wine under $15, non-fiction books, and finding innovative ways to convince herself that kale tastes good. A self-professed concert head, and potentially the inventor of the word “concert-head,” she’s also possibly the only Coloradoan who dislikes hiking and skiing.
What movie can you watch over and over again?
My Cousin Vinny. “Oh yeah, you blend.”
Favorite family tradition?
Every July, my extended family goes to the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. We spend all day waterskiing, surfing, floating, getting sunburnt (me) and getting tan (everyone else).
If you could take a month to travel anywhere, where would you go?
India. I would eat ten meals a day, embarrass myself by trying to dance to Bollywood music, and take a long train journey through the Himalayas.
